About The Role

This role is a fantastic opportunity to help grow our transaction banking research offering across the Americas, with a focus on Cash Management and Trade Finance. You will develop benchmarking products, generate market and competitor insights, and work closely with senior industry leaders to support their strategic decision-making. The role offers high-profile exposure to senior stakeholders across the Corporate and Investment Banking industry. As a Research Manager within our Corporate and Investment Banking division, you will support Transaction Banking clients with strategic and tactical decision-making across three core areas:

• Competitor benchmarks: Supporting research into bank performance levels and drivers.

• Competitor insights: Developing strategic insight into the performance of leading players.

• Product and business development: Supporting product expansion and business development.

You will have the ability to:

• Immediately step into a client-facing, Research Manager role. You will run product deliveries to Business and Product Heads.

• Build a network of market knowledgeable individuals to gather market insights.

• Prepare commentaries documenting key takeaways and insights.

• Help develop quantitative benchmarks and insight (with day-to-day support from our dedicated analytics team in India). • Analyse and interpret analytics and present the output intelligently and impactfully to clients.

• Drive our understanding of the Americas competitor landscape and key performance differentiators within Transaction Banking.

Your Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree required, post-graduate degree from a top business school a plus

• 3+ years of experience in Transaction Banking Sales, Product, Business Management and/or Consulting.

• Knowledge of Transaction Banking divisions (ideally with wider exposure to FX and/or Liquidity), likely to have been gained from working within a bank, a Payments fintech with prior banking experience, the financial services practice of a consulting firm, or a specialist competitive intelligence firm.

• Excellent communications skills and the ability and willingness to present analysis to senior client stakeholders in an engaging manner.

• Analytical mindset and ability work with large datasets to derive compelling insights to support client business strategy.

• Robust project management skills demonstrated by track record of successfully delivering multiple concurrent projects and coordinating work across multiple teams or stakeholders.

• Strong degree of independence, drive, and self-motivation.

• Exemplary interpersonal skills and ability to easily build rapport with senior clients.

• Genuine interest in and passion for the financial services sector, along with a desire to further develop your knowledge and understanding of the sector.
