Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SDET / Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Java and UI automation frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for web and API-based applications.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of experience in Software Development / Software Testing / SDET.
• Strong hands-on programming experience with Java.
• Strong experience with Playwright or Cypress for UI automation.
• Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of Selenium WebDriver is a plus.
• Experience with API automation/testing using REST APIs, Postman, REST Assured, etc.
• Experience with JUnit/TestNG and BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, QA processes, and Agile/Scrum.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong experience with Git/GitHub and version control.
• Experience with SQL/database validation.
• Knowledge of Docker and cloud-based testing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based automation frameworks.
• Develop UI automation scripts using Playwright or Cypress.
• Automate functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios.
• Develop and maintain API automation and service-level testing.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test failures, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Participate in code reviews and improve automation framework quality and coverage.
• Identify opportunities to increase test automation coverage and reduce manual testing.
• Work closely with developers, product owners, and QA teams in an Agile environment.
