A leading international law firm is seeking a Project Finance Partner to join its Amsterdam office and take a defining role in the continued growth of a market-leading finance practice. This is a strategic, high-visibility appointment for an ambitious practitioner who wants to build and lead, backed by the platform, brand, capital and global reach of one of the world's pre-eminent law firms.

You will have genuine autonomy to shape the direction of the practice, access to an established international client base, and the support of a deep bench across finance, restructuring and corporate to win and deliver complex, cross-border mandates.

What you'll do

  • Lead the development and expansion of the firm's project finance practice in the Netherlands, setting strategy and driving growth.
  • Advise lenders, sponsors, funds and borrowers on the full lifecycle of complex project, structured and infrastructure financings.
  • Originate and lead high-value transactions across energy, renewables, digital infrastructure and infrastructure sectors in the Dutch and international markets.
  • Own and grow key client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser at board and senior stakeholder level.
  • Spearhead business development and market positioning, raising the profile of the practice in the region.
  • Collaborate with Partners across the firm's global network to deliver seamless cross-border advice, and mentor and develop the next generation of finance lawyers.

What we're looking for

  • Dutch-qualified lawyer (advocaat) at Partner level with an established, high-calibre project finance practice.
  • Typically 10+ years' post-qualification experience in project, structured or infrastructure finance, with a demonstrable record of leading landmark transactions.
  • Recognised standing in the Dutch and/or international market, ideally with directory recognition (Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR1000).
  • Deep sector expertise across energy, renewables and infrastructure, with the commercial instinct to identify and win new opportunities.
  • A portable practice or the credibility and network to build one, with a clear vision for growth.
  • Outstanding technical, commercial and leadership ability, and the gravitas to represent the firm at the most senior levels.
  • Fluent English essential; Dutch strongly preferred.
