- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams through the delivery of complex technology solutions
- Partner with clients to understand challenges and translate business goals into technical outcomes
- Provide technical direction, architecture guidance and engineering oversight
- Mentor and develop engineers through coaching, reviews and knowledge sharing
- Contribute to recruitment, capability development and internal communities of practice
- Support business development activities and help shape winning technical solutions
- Drive engineering excellence, innovation and continuous improvement across delivery teams
- Guide teams through complex technical decisions and architectural trade-offs
- Strong software engineering background with hands-on delivery experience
- Experience leading technical teams within Agile environments
- Expertise in designing scalable, cloud-native solutions using AWS, Azure or GCP
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, engineering best practices and secure development
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, .NET or similar technologies
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of observability, monitoring and operational excellence principles
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience mentoring and developing engineers at different stages of their careers
- Experience with event-driven architectures and modern cloud-native platforms
- Strong understanding of TDD, automated testing and engineering quality practices
- Experience optimising performance, scalability and reliability within enterprise systems
- Background working alongside DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering teams
- Passion for emerging technologies and continuous learning
