Job Description

We are looking for a Sr. DCIM Engineer

The role involves the management and administration of Electric Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and Building Management Systems at data centers. Responsibilities include ensuring systems operate efficiently, interfacing with design consultants and vendors, leading training for regional engineers, developing standards for alarms and documentation, coordinating DCIM system requirements with IT operations, and contributing to system inspections and testing. The ideal candidate should possess a BS in Electrical Engineering or related fields, along with extensive experience in critical monitoring and control systems, familiarity with EPMS systems, and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer Electric Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and Building Management Systems.
  • Ensure systems operate efficiently.
  • Interface with design consultants and vendors.
  • Lead training for regional engineers.
  • Develop standards for alarms and documentation.
  • Coordinate DCIM system requirements with IT operations.
  • Contribute to system inspections and testing.

Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or other related Engineering degrees or equivalent professional experience.
  • Seven or more years of experience with critical monitoring/control systems and support for critical facilities.
  • Working knowledge and experience with building EPMS systems.
  • Familiarity with power distribution systems in a data center environment or similar critical systems environment.
  • Up to 25% travel required.
  • ship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.

Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge and experience with EPMS systems.
  • Familiarity with power distribution systems in a data center environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ignition certification.
  • Aveva WonderWare certification.
  • Knowledge of systems such as ALC, Andover, Tridium, Delta Controls or others.
  • Understanding of network implementation.
  • Working knowledge of virtualized environments.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow.
  • Working knowledge of SQL database systems.
  • 10 or more years of experience with various Industrial Control Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) such as Allen Bradley, Schneider Siemens, etc.
  • Experience performing commissioning, qualification & change control activities.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and produce engineering documents.
