Job Description

People Technology & Insight Manager - London

People Technology & Insight Manager

Location: London Reporting to: Head of People Services, Reward & Insight

At Fortnum & Mason, our people technology, data and insight are central to how we support colleagues and make better business decisions. We are looking for a People Technology & Insight Manager to lead our People technology roadmap, strengthen reporting and insight, and drive automation and continuous improvement across the People function.

We are two years into our PeopleXD journey with Access Group, and the foundations are now in place. The next stage is about shaping a clearer roadmap, improving how the system is used, and delivering new functionality that supports the wider People function and business.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technology, data, insight and change management to deliver meaningful business outcomes. You'll take ownership of the People technology roadmap, lead continuous improvement initiatives and help shape how technology, automation and AI are used across the People function.

This will suit someone who is comfortable moving between strategic thinking and hands-on delivery, and who enjoys turning complex systems and data into clear, practical solutions.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the delivery and ongoing development of the People technology roadmap, translating priorities into clear plans that deliver measurable business value.

  • Own and optimise PeopleXD and the wider People technology landscape, ensuring systems are well governed, connected and fit for purpose.

  • Drive system enhancements, integrations and technology change through clear prioritisation, robust testing, change control and effective adoption.

  • Develop and evolve our people reporting and insight capability, providing meaningful analysis that supports business decision-making.

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, AI and emerging technologies, ensuring solutions are practical, well governed, sustainable and genuinely add value.

  • Own the People technology architecture, ensuring systems, integrations and data flows are scalable, effective and well controlled.

  • Lead technology adoption and change initiatives, ensuring colleagues are supported through effective communication, training and engagement.

  • Build capability within the HRIS & Insight function, developing both the team and our wider use of technology, data and insight across the People team.

What we're looking for

  • Experience working with HRIS platforms, ideally PeopleXD.

  • Strong experience in people analytics, workforce reporting and turning data into actionable insight.

  • Proven experience delivering technology change, system improvements and business transformation initiatives.

  • Experience using tools such as Power BI, Power Automate and advanced Excel.

  • Strong understanding of technology architecture, integrations and interconnected systems.

  • A commercially minded approach, with the ability to balance business priorities, user experience and governance requirements.

  • Experience identifying opportunities for automation, process improvement and AI adoption.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility across all levels of the organisation.

  • A systems-thinking mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
