Test Lead

The Role

An experienced Test Lead is needed to lead testing activities across a high profile digitisation program. The role focuses on test management, automation, CI/CD, release delivery, and stakeholder engagement. The Test Lead will ensure that quality is embedded throughout the development and release lifecycle in a fast paced, complex environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage testing activities across a major digitisation program.
• Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and quality assurance activities.
• Implement and oversee CI/CD testing and release management processes.
• Drive continuous improvement across automation, testing frameworks, and delivery practices.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to testing and quality engineering teams.
• Coordinate testing activities across complex stakeholder groups and multiple technology streams.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and project stakeholders.
• Monitor delivery progress and proactively identify, manage, and escalate risks and blockers.
• Support release planning, deployment readiness, and quality governance activities.
• Produce regular status reporting, progress updates, and stakeholder communications.

What You'll Need

• 7-10 years of experience in Test Management, Quality Engineering, or Test Leadership roles.
• Strong experience managing testing activities within complex enterprise environments.
• Proven experience implementing and supporting CI/CD testing and release processes.
• Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and modern quality engineering practices.
• Experience working within Agile and large scale transformation programs.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing or mentoring testing teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience working in high pressure, mission critical delivery environments.
• Ability to identify risks, resolve blockers, and drive successful delivery outcomes.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance principles.
• Experience producing test strategies, test plans, governance artefacts, and quality reporting.
• Knowledge of DevOps, continuous testing, release management, and modern software delivery practices.
• Ability to work across diverse technology environments and rapidly adopt new tools and processes.
