Job Description


We are seeking a Senior AVEVA/OSIsoft PI Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System architecture, administration, integration, and high-availability operations and a proven ability to ensure continuous availability, enhance enterprise PI infrastructure, and deliver actionable analytics for critical control center operations. This hybrid role requires onsite presence Tuesday through Thursday and remote work Monday and Friday.


Responsibilities:



  • Create, modify, and maintain an enterprise PI environment with 1.5M+ PI tags.

  • Implement and support PI Data Archive, PI AF, and PI Vision high availability and disaster recovery.

  • Design AF element templates, AF elements, AF Analytics, Notifications, and Event Frames.

  • Develop PI dashboards and visualizations in PI Vision and ProcessBook.

  • Configure and manage PI Interfaces and Connectors including PI API, OPC DA/UA, RDBMS, PI to PI, and PI DNP3.

  • Administer and leverage PI Integrator for Business Analytics (PII4BA) for enterprise reporting.

  • Design, develop, and commission PI dashboards, BI reports, and applications using PI SDK, AF SDK, PI OLEDB, and PowerShell.

  • Ensure high availability and performance of PI infrastructure supporting Electric, Gas, and Steam Control Centers.

  • Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and uphold physical and cyber safety practices.

  • Integrate enterprise business systems with AVEVA/OSIsoft PI software and related operational systems.

  • Plan and manage technical aspects of projects, resolve application issues, and coordinate with stakeholders.

  • Provide scheduled 24x7x365 on-call response to system alerts to maintain availability.

  • Design and develop Control Center application code as required.

  • Maintain and enhance OSI PI Historian through monitoring, alert response, and system improvements.

  • Review and update procedures and disaster recovery documentation for PI, OMS, and SCADA.

  • Follow ITIL processes and use tools such as ServiceNow for incident, change, and problem management.

  • Communicate status, issues, risks, and resource needs to sponsors, stakeholders, and team members.

  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Expertise with AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System, including PI Data Archive, PI AF, PI Vision, and PI Interfaces.

  • Hands-on experience with PI AF Analytics, Notifications, Event Frames, and PI to PI integrations.

  • Proficiency with PI DNP3 Interface, OPC DA/UA, RDBMS connectivity, and PI Integrator for Business Analytics.

  • PowerShell automation scripting for administration and deployment tasks.

  • C#, .NET, Visual Studio, SSIS, API/Adapter calls, SQL, Microsoft Power BI, and PowerShell for development and integration.

  • Demonstrated ability to design and support high-availability and disaster recovery architectures in 24x7 environments.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with clear documentation practices.

  • Effective communication with stakeholders and experience reporting on status, issues, and risks.


Preferred Skills:



  • Advanced Power BI and Power Automate skills.

  • Azure DevOps for CI/CD and work management, and familiarity with MS Visio.

  • .NET Framework 4.6+ and .NET 8+ experience.

  • Project management exposure and experience with ServiceNow.

  • Communication and presentation capabilities for technical and non-technical audiences.
