Senior Software Engineer – (Magento, SEO/AI Search Optimization) - 6 Months Contract - Leawood, KS(Hybrid, 3 days onsite, 2 day remote)

Seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer with 4-7 years of experience in Adobe Commerce (Magento), modern web technologies, and content-driven digital experiences. The ideal candidate will partner closely with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to improve customer discovery across traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered discovery platforms.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, business analysis capabilities, and an understanding of SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization). The candidate will help build AI-ready commerce experiences by implementing structured content, enhancing platform capabilities, and advising stakeholders on digital experience improvements.

Required Technical Skills

Commerce & CMS

· 7-12 years of software development experience.

· 3+ years of Adobe Commerce (Magento 2) development experience.

· Experience working with CMS platforms such as AEM, Sitefinity, HubSpot, Contentful, or Webflow.

· Experience with GraphQL and REST API development.

Frontend Technologies

· JavaScript (ES6+)

· HTML5 / CSS3

· ReactJS

· PWA Studio experience preferred

· Responsive web development

Backend Technologies

· PHP

· Magento Framework

· Node.js knowledge preferred

· API integrations and middleware concepts
