About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Semiconductor Equipment Technician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with complex mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic systems used in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
In this role, you will diagnose equipment issues, perform preventative and corrective maintenance, and ensure production equipment operates safely and efficiently. You will work closely with engineering and technical teams to support equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair semiconductor manufacturing equipment and related systems.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on heavy manufacturing machinery.
Conduct equipment testing, calibration, alignment, and system verification activities.
Interpret schematics, engineering drawings, technical manuals, and work instructions.
Utilize diagnostic tools, including multimeters and other testing equipment, to identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
Maintain and service vacuum systems, pneumatic systems, pumps, chillers, and cryogenic equipment.
Replace and repair system components as required to restore equipment functionality.
Monitor system performance and document maintenance activities, test results, and repair actions.
Handle hazardous chemicals and specialty gases in accordance with safety policies and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to improve equipment performance, uptime, and reliability.
Follow all environmental, health, and safety procedures while working with manufacturing equipment and facilities systems.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree, technical certification, military technical training, or equivalent practical experience in Electronics, Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, Semiconductor Technology, or a related field.
2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostic experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
2-4 years of experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy manufacturing equipment.
Experience working with high-pressure systems.
Proficiency in using multimeters and other electrical diagnostic tools.
Experience with vacuum systems and pneumatic systems.
Experience servicing cryogenic systems, pumps, chillers, or similar equipment.
Experience handling hazardous chemicals and compressed gases safely.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and process equipment.
Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and root cause analysis methodologies.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
