Application Engineer

Support customers and the national sales network by providing technical solutions, facilitating pre sales activities, and managing the bidding process.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with external stakeholders to understand project requirements and advise on the best solutions.
• Perform feasibility analysis for request for estimate and develop professional business proposals consistent with company standards.
• Prepare cost estimates, pricing, and proposals for bids.
• Ensure all aspects of the bidding process meet deadlines and are coordinated with sales and cross functional teams.
• Support pre sales activity, including preliminary engineering and pricing.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding requests for offers for specific materials.
• Coordinate with global factory and engineering teams for design scope, estimation, and production.
• Conduct periodic technical visits to manufacturing facilities.

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• High technical knowledge of generator and material handling products.
• Good understanding of project management principles.
• Strong communication and relational skills.
• Organizational and management aptitude.
• Attention to detail and problem solving abilities.
• Teamwork orientation and ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).• Availability to travel interstate and internationally.
