Remote, JBoss System Administrator - Only W2

Required Skills

• Proven experience managing and administering enterprise middleware platforms, with a strong focus on JBoss EAP 7.x/8.x.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps, including Azure Repos, CI/CD pipeline development, release automation, deployment orchestration, and source code management.
• Strong knowledge of JBoss administration, including server configuration, clustering, failover, performance optimization, patch management, automated deployments, and issue resolution.
• Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical enterprise application environments.
• Proficiency in Shell/Bash scripting to automate administrative and operational tasks.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience administering JBoss in both Standalone and Domain modes.
• Strong understanding of Azure DevOps components, including Azure Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, branching strategies, pull request workflows, release approvals, and deployment governance.
• Experience deploying and managing applications using both the JBoss Management Console (GUI) and JBoss CLI.
• Familiarity with mod_jk, mod_cluster, datasource configuration, JVM tuning, logging, and overall JBoss server optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot JBoss EAP environments across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Implement and manage JBoss clustering, high-availability, load balancing, and failover configurations to ensure application reliability and performance.
• Design, maintain, and optimize Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, including build automation, release management, artifact promotion, environment approvals, and production deployments.
• Automate application deployments and middleware administration using JBoss CLI, scripting, and Azure DevOps pipeline integrations.
