Job Overview
Our client is seeking a Business / Product Analyst (Sell-Side) to support the analysis and execution of product initiatives for a Digital Integration Hub platform — a centralized integration solution supporting Trading and Asset Services. The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of business and technical expertise, with a deep understanding of sell-side capital markets, financial products, and cross-functional delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Align product initiatives with overall business strategy and translate objectives into actionable development initiatives
- Break down product initiatives into manageable work items for development teams
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Software Engineers, QA teams, and Scrum Masters
- Prepare detailed business requirement documents, functional specifications, and UI guides
- Manage scope and maintenance of standard integration connectors
- Engage stakeholders and facilitate effective decision-making and roadmap definition
- Gather, document, validate, and prioritize new product requirements
- Support product owners in prioritizing product and release backlogs
- Assist with product documentation, training materials, and release notes
- Stay current with industry trends and market developments
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of sell-side participants: brokers, dealers, prime services, and retail clients
- Knowledge of trading and investment lifecycle processes including corporate actions
- Broad knowledge of major asset classes across listed and OTC markets:
- Derivatives, Private Equity, Private Debt
- Understanding of settlement methods including DVP, Free of Cash Transfers, Repos, Securities Finance, and Collateral Management
- Experience with integration solution software products (highly preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Visio a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize effectively
Preferred Skills
- High-level understanding of Investment Book of Record (IBOR) concepts and general ledger principles
- Familiarity with compliance requirements within trading and investment operations
- Exposure to regulatory reporting obligations relevant to financial markets
