Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Lead MuleSoft Developer to provide technical leadership for designing, developing, governing, and supporting enterprise integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. This role will oversee end-to-end integration architecture, API strategy, implementation standards, and delivery execution across cloud and on-premises applications. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on MuleSoft expertise with technical leadership, architecture, mentoring, code review, modernization, and enterprise integration governance experience.

Key Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of enterprise integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. Establish integration architecture standards, development guidelines, and coding best practices. Provide technical leadership across multiple concurrent integration projects. Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and architecture assessments. Mentor developers and provide technical coaching across integration teams. Participate in project estimation, planning, and roadmap development. Design, build, and support reusable APIs following API-led connectivity principles.

Develop System APIs, Process APIs, and Experience APIs. Build integrations using REST, SOAP, GraphQL, JMS, MQ, File, FTP/SFTP, Database, and SaaS connectors. Develop and maintain RAML and OpenAPI specifications. Implement orchestration patterns, event-driven integrations, and real-time processing workflows. Create reusable frameworks, templates, accelerators, and integration assets. Support and administer MuleSoft CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, and Anypoint Platform components. Monitor platform performance, capacity, reliability, and operational health.

Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and integration failures. Define observability, logging, alerting, and monitoring standards. Participate in production support activities as required. Implement enterprise security standards including OAuth 2.0, JWT, Mutual TLS, SAML, and client credential flows. Support applicable privacy, security, and regulatory requirements. Enforce API governance, security policies, and data protection standards. Support architecture reviews and security assessments. Establish CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms.

Implement automated testing strategies, including MUnit. Maintain code quality metrics and governance using SonarQube and related tools. Drive deployment automation and release management best practices. Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across integration delivery and platform operations. Required Qualifications 8+ years of software development and integration experience. 5+ years of hands-on MuleSoft development experience. 3+ years of experience leading integration teams or enterprise integration initiatives.

Proven experience delivering large-scale enterprise integration programs. Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments. Expert-level experience with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. Strong proficiency with Mule 4 and DataWeave 2.x. Experience with API Manager, Exchange, Runtime Manager, CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, and Anypoint Monitoring. Experience developing REST and SOAP services. Strong understanding of integration architectures and design patterns. Experience with messaging platforms such as IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Azure Service Bus.

Experience integrating enterprise applications such as Salesforce, SAP, Workday, Snowflake, Oracle, and SQL Server. Strong knowledge of SQL and database design. Experience with Git, branching strategies, and source control management. Strong technical leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Ability to balance strategic architecture decisions with hands-on development responsibilities.

Proven experience mentoring and developing technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications Salesforce integration experience. Experience in healthcare, insurance, or other regulated industries. Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Knowledge of event-driven architecture and microservices. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Certifications MuleSoft Certified Developer Level 1. MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect. MuleSoft Integration Architect Certification.
