Curriculum Instructor
Introduction:
The Curriculum Instructor will be responsible for designing and delivering in-person, instructor-led training programs in a classroom and field-based setting. This role will focus on creating training programs for the hydro utility workforce, including mechanics, utility workers, equipment operators, welders, and other skilled trades.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct needs assessments and analyze training requirements for Hydro Operations.
- Collaborate with team members to develop effective learning solutions.
- Design and develop technical training programs for the hydro utility workforce.
- Guide the use of appropriate learning technologies to enhance training effectiveness.
- Coach and support Instructional Designers in course creation using the ADDIE model.
- Manage project execution to ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
- Facilitate key project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
- Track project status and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collect and analyze training effectiveness metrics and apply continuous improvement strategies.
- Archive course materials and complete project close-out activities.
Requirements:
Required Skills:
- Experience in classroom training and instructional design.
- Knowledge of developing and delivering in-person training programs.
- Ability to create project schedules and manage project execution.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor''''s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field.
- At least 5 years of instructional design experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Articulate Storyline, video production, and web design.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience developing apprenticeship programs in skilled trades.
- Master''''s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field.
- Experience working in the utility industry or similar environment.
- Familiarity with tools such as Questionmark, Author-It, MS Teams, and virtual learning platforms.
- Ability to use Artificial Intelligence tools to support efficient work.
