Remote - Workday UKG Payroll

Our client — is in the midst of a payroll system transition, migrating from UKG to Workday. They are seeking a short-term consultant to provide focused support in preparing payroll data and documentation ahead of handoff to their Workday implementation partner, TopBloc, who will manage the end-to-end build.

This is a well-scoped, time-boxed engagement ideal for a consultant who can move quickly, work independently, and deliver clean, audit-ready payroll documentation within a tight timeframe.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and review of payroll workbooks in advance of Workday build handoff
• Conduct a thorough review of Earnings & Deductions (E&D) codes for accuracy and completeness
• Validate and organize payroll configuration data to ensure readiness for transition
• Identify and flag data gaps, inconsistencies, or outstanding items prior to handoff
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure all payroll "housekeeping" items are resolved before TopBloc begins the full implementation

Required Skills & Experience

• Prior hands-on experience with UKG and Workday payroll modules (experience with a UKG-to-Workday migration strongly preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of Earnings & Deductions (E&D) code structures
• Experience preparing or auditing payroll workbooks for system conversions/implementations
• Familiarity with multiemployer Health & Welfare / Pension Fund payroll environments a plus
• Detail-oriented, able to work independently with minimal ramp-up time
• Comfortable working within a compressed, short-term timeline
