Role: Cloud Solution Architect – Solution Design

Location: Quincy, MA or Princeton, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days/week) – Locals required

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with strong AWS and Azure cloud migration expertise. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end solution design, create Target State Architecture (TSA), plan and execute cloud migrations, and provide technical leadership throughout migration and modernization projects.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, DevOps, security, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Solution Design

• Design Target State Architecture (TSA) for cloud migration projects.
• Perform application discovery and dependency mapping.
• Create migration strategies, migration waves, and technical roadmaps.
• Develop architecture documents, network diagrams, and infrastructure blueprints.

Cloud Migration

• Lead migration of applications, servers, databases, and storage to AWS and Azure.
• Plan migration waves, cutover activities, rollback strategies, and post-migration support.
• Modernize workloads using cloud-native services where applicable.

Cloud Infrastructure

• Deploy and manage AWS/Azure infrastructure using:
• Terraform
• CloudFormation
• Bicep
• Harness
• Build IaaS and PaaS environments.
• Configure networking, Active Directory integration, disaster recovery, and cloud connectivity.

DevOps & Automation

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Deploy containerized applications to:
• ECS
• EKS
• AKS
• App Service Containers

Security & Governance

• Ensure cloud environments meet security and compliance standards.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and security testing.
• Participate in architecture review boards and technical governance.
• Create migration runbooks, disaster recovery plans, and operational documentation.

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with business teams, application owners, infrastructure teams, and project managers.
• Conduct technical workshops and provide architecture guidance.

Required Skills

Mandatory Skills

• 10+ years of Solution Architecture experience
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure
• Cloud Migration & Modernization experience
• Target State Architecture (TSA) design
• Application Discovery & Dependency Mapping
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, Harness)
• CI/CD and DevOps
