This role is central to ensuring that mission-critical data requirements are defined, sourced, and managed effectively across a complex landscape of stakeholders, systems, and suppliers. The successful candidate will work closely with JDA personnel, BAE Systems system owners, and Ship's Company, enabling accurate, compliant, and timely access to data that supports platform readiness and operational capability.

  • Act as an interface between JDA, BAE Systems system owners, and Ship's Company, fostering effective communication and coordination
  • Support the integration and validation of technical and operational data across submarine systems
Ensure all data management activities comply with MOD security policies, nuclear enterprise standards, and programme governance
  • Analyse and interpret data to support engineering, operational, and programme decision-making
Identify and resolve data gaps, inconsistencies, or accessibility issues within a highly controlled environment
  • Maintain full traceability and auditability of data sources and flows
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data processes, governance, and stakeholder engagement models

Required experience

  • Proven experience working with stakeholders to identify and define data requirements, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure delivery
  • Experience working on the Dreadnought, Astute, or other Royal Navy submarine programmes
  • Experience working within defence programmes or highly regulated environments, ideally within the nuclear or submarine domain
  • Working knowledge of submarine systems, including engineering, operational, or support functions
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and strong working relationships across multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong analytical capability with exceptional attention to detail
Experience managing priorities in a complex, programme-driven environment

Desirable experience
