Job Description

Netzschutztechniker / Inbetriebnahmetechniker Umspannwerke m/w/d | Flensburg, Germany | Hybrid We're hiring on behalf of a leading European energy infrastructure company that is instrumental in driving the energy transition. This dynamic organization is at the forefront of building and modernizing medium, high, and extra-high voltage substations across Northern and Eastern Germany, contributing significantly to climate protection goals. The Role • Lead the commissioning of medium, high, and extra-high voltage substations, including new builds and modernization projects. • Analyze and resolve incidents within protection and control systems, collaborating with internal expert teams to drive process improvements. • Configure and parameterize high-voltage protection and field control devices from leading manufacturers (Siemens, Schneider, ABB). • Utilize state-of-the-art testing equipment (e.g., OMICRON) for precise commissioning of digital protection and control technology. • Work closely with project management, planning, and assembly teams to ensure successful project execution. • Contribute to the development of green energy infrastructure by supporting projects for renewable energy parks and industrial connections. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering. • Proven expertise in protection/control technology, with prior experience in commissioning switchgear and knowledge of communication standards (IEC 60870-5-101/103/104). • Familiarity with parameterization software such as Siemens DIGSI 4/5, Schneider MICOM S1, and testing software like OMICROM TestUniverse is advantageous. • Strong team player with excellent communication and decision-making skills, comfortable interacting with internal teams and clients. • Possess a valid driver's license (Class B) and be willing to travel (typically Monday to Thursday).
