Job Description

Project Manager
Oklahoma City, OK
Hybrid

Responsibilities:

  • Manage medium to extra-large complexity projects through full project lifecycle activities utilizing appropriate methodologies, tools, planning, and communication.

  • Acquire, develop, and manage the project team.

  • Perform all standard project management deliverables, including defining scope and objectives, change management, risk mitigation, budgeting, stakeholder communication, project and vendor engagement, subject matter expert utilization, implementation, and project closure.

  • Develop and manage project status reports to communicate with stakeholders and report key metrics for the PMO dashboard.

  • Implement change management practices in accordance with agency and PMO guidance.

  • Forecast, manage, and acquire (as necessary) the resources needed to achieve project objectives.

  • Ensure project activities and deliverables strictly adhere to documented federal, state, or agency guidelines.

  • Facilitate and manage contract processes from initiation through closure.

  • Routinely perform gap analysis and root cause analysis, offering recommendations for successful project outcomes.

  • Demonstrate a dynamic ability to lead group facilitation activities, especially in areas requiring the interaction of an independent party.

Requirements

  • Experience with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management methodologies.

  • Strong familiarity with and/or the ability to use MS Project.

  • Understanding and experience with the Project Management Institute's (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide and Standards.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Demonstrated multi-tasking capabilities.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
