Role Overview

We are looking for a client-facing Tax and Finance Advisory Consultant to join our India team in Gurgaon. This is a advisory role - not only a service delivery role. You will be the trusted first point of contact for clients who need expert guidance on UK tax, finance, and compliance matters.

Your primary responsibility is to understand the client's situation in depth, identify the right solution, present the options clearly, agree on the approach, and obtain the client's commitment - at which point the service delivery team takes over. Think of this as a specialist advisory, where your technical credibility and communication skills are equally important.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with new and existing clients to understand their financial, tax, and compliance needs in the context of UK regulations.

• Analyse the client's situation and identify the most appropriate tax or finance solution, drawing on knowledge of UK tax law, HMRC processes, and compliance obligations.

• Present solution options clearly, explain the implications of each alternative, and guide the client to an informed decision.

• Prepare and present proposals and engagement framework.

• Agree the scope of work and solution with the client before execution.

• Maintain strong ongoing client relationships to identify further advisory opportunities and ensure client satisfaction.

• Stay current with developments in UK tax legislation, HMRC guidance, and relevant compliance requirements.

• Collaborate closely with the other service delivery, onboarding, and technical teams to ensure seamless client experience.

• Contribute to the development of advisory frameworks, proposal templates, and client-facing materials.

What are we looking for

• Qualified CA, ACCA, or CTA (or Equivalent).

• 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a tax advisory, finance advisory, or related client-facing role.

• Experience working with UK-based clients or within a UK accounting/advisory environment is strongly preferred.

• Prior experience in a Big 4 or top-tier accounting firm is a significant advantage.

• Demonstrable experience in an advisory or consultative- someone who has owned client conversations and driven outcomes, not just processed work.

• Exceptional written and spoken English - fluent, precise, and confident in client-facing communication.

• Ability to explain complex tax and financial concepts in plain language that clients can understand and act on.

• Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-growing, multi-entity environment.
