Lead AWS Developer/Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead AWS Developer/Architect to join our team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS using serverless technologies and Python. This role requires a strong technical background in AWS architecture, infrastructure modernization, and enterprise application development.

Candidates with 7+ years of overall development experience and deep expertise in AWS cloud services are highly preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor''''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including:
  • Lambda
  • IAM
  • S3
  • Aurora
  • SQS
  • AWS Glue
  • CloudWatch
  • Lake Formation
  • Serverless architecture
• 2+ years of professional Python development experience.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
• Strong SQL skills with experience in Aurora, Athena, and MySQL.
• Experience developing scalable, enterprise-level applications.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical solutions and business outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing AWS cloud architectures and leading cloud deployments.
• Experience with AWS CloudFormation templates and AWS CLI.
• Knowledge of orchestration and automation within AWS environments.
• Experience participating in EC2 migrations and cloud infrastructure modernization initiatives.
• Experience with Docker containerization.
• Experience with Angular/AngularJS and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification is highly preferred.
