AS400 Architect

Title: AS400 Architect
Location: Cincinnati, OH (Onsite/Hybrid)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

We are seeking an experienced AS400 Architect to lead the design, modernization, and support of enterprise applications running on the IBM i (AS400/iSeries) platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AS400 architecture, RPG development, DB2, and system integration, with the ability to provide technical leadership and drive modernization initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience with IBM i (AS400/iSeries) platform.
• Strong expertise in RPG IV/RPGLE, CL/CLLE, SQL, DB2 for i, and ILE concepts.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale AS400 solutions and application architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AS400 modernization, API integration, REST/SOAP web services.
• Strong understanding of IBM i system administration, performance tuning, and security.
• Experience with application integration, middleware, and message queues.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Git, Jira, and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
