Job Description
Stanadyne is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead and support information technology operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a highly hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of IT systems supporting plant operations, business functions, and end users.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience supporting manufacturing operations, including plant-floor technology, network infrastructure, servers, ERP/business systems, cybersecurity, end-user computing, and production-critical applications.
This individual must be comfortable moving between strategic IT responsibilities and hands-on technical support. The IT Manager will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and corporate IT to ensure technology effectively supports production and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing & Plant IT Support
- Provide hands-on IT leadership and technical support for manufacturing operations and plant-floor systems.
- Maintain high availability of technology supporting production and minimize manufacturing downtime related to IT systems.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, connectivity, and system issues affecting production.
- Support manufacturing-related systems and equipment connectivity, including shop-floor computers, scanners, printers, production terminals, and other network-connected equipment.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Controls teams to resolve technology issues affecting manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Support integration and connectivity between manufacturing systems and enterprise business applications.
Infrastructure & Technical Support
- Manage and support LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, firewalls, servers, storage, backup systems, PCs, mobile devices, printers, and related infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve network, hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Manage Microsoft-based environments, including Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, user accounts, permissions, and endpoint management.
- Ensure appropriate backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes are maintained and tested.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively address reliability and capacity issues.
- Coordinate hardware and software upgrades, replacements, installations, and technology refreshes.
ERP & Business Systems
- Provide technical and functional support for ERP and other business-critical applications.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Quality, and Engineering to troubleshoot system issues and improve business processes.
- Support ERP interfaces and integrations with manufacturing and business systems.
- Participate in ERP upgrades, implementations, system enhancements, and process-improvement initiatives.
- Experience with SAP or another major manufacturing ERP system is strongly preferred.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Implement and maintain corporate cybersecurity policies and IT security standards.
- Manage user access, permissions, endpoint security, patching, antivirEDR, and vulnerability remediation.
- Monitor systems for security risks and coordinate response to potential cybersecurity incidents.
- Support cybersecurity awareness and best practices throughout the facility.
- Ensure IT systems comply with applicable corporate, customer, and regulatory requirements.
IT Leadership & Project Management
- Serve as the primary IT point of contact for the facility and act as a liaison between plant leadership and corporate/global IT.
- Develop and execute site IT priorities aligned with manufacturing and business objectives.
- Lead infrastructure, system implementation, cybersecurity, automation, and technology-improvement projects.
- Manage IT vendors, service providers, software licensing, contracts, and technology purchases.
- Assist with IT budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, automation, and standardization through technology.
- Provide technical guidance and support to employees at all levels of the organization.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, infrastructure, processes, assets, and configurations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience, with hands-on IT experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Previous IT leadership, supervisory, or site IT ownership experience.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of networking, servers, hardware, operating systems, Microsoft technologies, and end-user support.
- Experience supporting ERP and other business-critical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technology issues in a production environment.
- Understanding of cybersecurity, access management, endpoint security, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Experience managing IT projects, vendors, and technology implementations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical employees.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting automotive, Tier 1, OEM, high-volume manufacturing, machining, or other complex manufacturing operations.
- SAP experience.
- Experience with manufacturing systems, MES, shop-floor connectivity, or production-related technology.
- Experience supporting multiple manufacturing locations.
