Job Number 8336 Standard Job Description We are seeking an entry-level energetic Hardware Engineer to support the development of a COTS-based test-system platform that emulates tactical equipment. In this role you will design, assemble, and validate hardware using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) modules while interfacing with a variety of aerospace and defense communications standards such as ARINC 429/664, CAN, RS-232, and related signal families.
You will generate and maintain accurate wiring diagrams, redline updates, and bill-of-materials revisions, collaborating closely with peer engineers. The position offers hands-on experience in rapid prototyping and verification testing within a fast-paced, high-visibility program, providing ample opportunity for professional growth and deeper expertise in hardware architecture and integration.
Basic Qualifications STEM degree or equivalent experience.
Desired Skills Experience designing and building hardware with commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) modules. Familiarity with aerospace/defense interface standards such as ARINC 429/664, CAN, RS-232, MIL-STD-1553, etc. Ability to create and maintain wiring diagrams, redline updates, and bill-of-materials revisions.
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $58200.00 - $108200.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people. - For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
