Business Systems Analyst Smartsheet
Duration: 6+ Months
Location: Sunnyvale, CA / Atlanta, GA
Work Arrangement: Onsite 3 5 days per week
Interview: 2 4 rounds (Zoom and in-person final)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst with strong hands-on Smartsheet solution-building experience. The ideal candidate will gather business requirements, design workflows and dashboards, translate requirements into user stories, and support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Smartsheet solutions.
This role requires expertise in advanced Smartsheet capabilities, Premium Apps, Control Center, business process improvement, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
  • Gather business requirements through meetings with business owners and stakeholders.
  • Design Smartsheet solutions, workflows, dashboards, and process improvements.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories and functional documentation.
  • Build and maintain solutions using Smartsheet Premium Apps and advanced capabilities.
  • Develop and support Control Center blueprints for multi-tier program configurations.
  • Collaborate with onsite and offshore development teams throughout implementation.
  • Manage ITSM tickets, troubleshoot issues, and resolve production support incidents.
  • Identify root causes, improve system stability, and recommend process efficiencies.
  • Provide end-user training and support for Smartsheet applications.
  • Prepare user guides, procedures, presentations, and supporting documentation.
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of relevant Business Analyst experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience building solutions using Smartsheet.
  • Experience with Premium Apps: Data Shuttle, Dynamic View, DataMesh, Pivot, Calendar, and WorkApps.
  • Knowledge of advanced capabilities such as sheet automations, cross-sheet references, DataTable, Document Builder, and Workload Tracking.
  • Technical understanding of Smartsheet Control Center and experience building blueprints for multi-tier program configurations.
  • Proficiency in Excel formulas and functions.
  • Experience gathering requirements, creating user stories, and documenting functional designs.
  • Experience with ITSM ticket management, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Smartsheet certifications in Core Product, Project Management, System Administration, or Control Center.
  • Experience with Smartsheet connectors for Salesforce and Jira.
  • Experience with Smartsheet API and Bridge workflows.
  • Proficiency with Lucidchart and Microsoft PowerPoint.
