Job Description
AI Regulatory SME
Buffalo, NY (4 days onsite)
Responsibility
- Interprets SR 26-2 and NYDFS AI-specific obligations and translates them into testable controls
- Builds and validates the obligation-to-control mapping used in the diagnostic
- Reviews vendor/SaaS contracts for AI-specific clauses (data rights, model-update notification, liability) and judges their regulatory sufficiency
- Assembles the evidence package and narrative for examiner readiness
Required skills:
- Deep working knowledge of US banking AI/model risk regulation, examiner engagement experience, policy-writing, contract literacy, ability to translate regulatory text into control language
