Program Manager (AI Specialist) || Pontiac, MI (Hybrid)

Job Description:

This is not a hands-on AI Engineer, Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or Python Developer role. The client is seeking someone who can lead and govern AI adoption across the organization, rather than build AI models.

Position: AI Program Specialist
Location: Pontiac, MI (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months Contract (Possible Extension)

What the Candidate Will Do

The selected consultant will be responsible for:

• Leading and coordinating AI pilot programs across departments
• Defining success criteria and measuring business outcomes
• Developing and maintaining AI governance policies and standards
• Managing AI tools inventory, licensing, usage, and costs
• Coordinating with vendors such as Microsoft, OpenAI, and Anthropic
• Training and onboarding users on Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude
• Building AI Communities of Practice and AI Champion networks
• Identifying high-value AI use cases and adoption opportunities
• Creating executive dashboards and AI impact reports
• Tracking ROI, efficiency gains, and cost savings

Key Skills Required

• 5+ years of technology program/project management experience
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar Generative AI tools
• AI Governance and Responsible AI knowledge
• Vendor and stakeholder management
• Change management and user adoption
• Training and facilitation experience
• Executive reporting and dashboard creation
• PMP/Agile certifications are a plus
• Public sector experience is preferred but not required
