Azure Data Engineer Lead / Data Architect

Introduction:

We are seeking a highly experienced Azure Data Engineer Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 13 years of experience in the field and will be responsible for leading data engineering projects, implementing data governance practices, and ensuring the smooth operation of data pipelines.

Responsibilities:

• Lead data engineering projects from inception to completion
• Implement and maintain data governance practices
• Design and implement data modeling solutions
• Develop and optimize ETL processes
• Work on cloud migration projects, particularly from Azure to Fabric or similar platforms
• Collaborate with finance and HR teams to implement solutions for D365 and Workday
• Performance tuning of data pipelines and systems
• Ensure security configurations are in place to protect data

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Proficiency in cloud computing, particularly Microsoft Azure
• Experience with data governance practices
• Expertise in data modeling
• Hands-on experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes
• Knowledge of finance and HR domains, specifically D365 and Workday

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Knowledge of PySpark
• Previous work on cloud migration projects
• Experience with performance tuning of data systems
