Hybrid 2 days onsite / 3 days remote in Rockville, MD
Our client seeks a GenAI Software Engineer to identify, develop, and implement AI-driven solutions across the SDLC. The role requires hands-on GenAI tooling experience, strong engineering judgment to target high-value automation, and the ability to advise on AI implementation patterns and best practices. The engineer will prototype solutions, integrate emerging capabilities, and translate outcomes into scalable enablement through training, workshops, and community building. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams to bridge emerging AI capabilities with practical delivery in a regulated environment.

Rate: $70.00 to $77.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with enablement teams, engineers, and customers to identify needs and develop AI-driven SDLC solutions.
• Prototype and validate solutions as AI tools and processes evolve.
• Exercise engineering judgment to select valuable automations and communicate rationale to varied stakeholders.
• Address technical challenges in AI tool adoption and integration.
• Bridge emerging AI capabilities with practical SDLC implementation.
• Convert new solutions into training materials and delivery.
• Advise on AI tool selection, implementation patterns, and best practices.
• Develop instructional materials for multiple training formats covering SDLC, AI integration, tools, processes, and standards.
• Engage subject matter experts to contribute and validate content.
• Consult with leaders and engineers to understand processes, pain points, and solution opportunities.
• Build relationships to gather input, secure buy-in, and promote adoption.
• Maintain content currency as practices and technologies evolve.
• Continuously improve training based on feedback and metrics.
• Track training effectiveness with assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
• Facilitate instructor-led training sessions and present to varied audience sizes.
• Adapt delivery by audience needs and objectives, including technical demonstrations.

Experience Requirements:

• Strong SDLC expertise including Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, Git, testing strategies, and deployments.
• Hands-on software development background with coding proficiency.
• Experience integrating AI into the SDLC and using AI-powered development tools.
• Ability to identify and correct low-quality AI-generated content.
• Cross-functional solution development experience.
• Deep understanding of development tools, cloud technologies, and deployment platforms.
• Advanced problem-solving for complex technical challenges.
• Rapid content update capability for evolving tools and solutions.
• Confident public speaking and presentations to technical audiences.
• Clear communication of complex technical concepts across levels.
• Stakeholder management and influence without authority.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Technical credibility with engineering teams.
• Collaboration across enablement, engineering, and end-users.
• Requirements gathering and translation into practical solutions.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
