Job Description

Job Title - Cloud Engineer Specialist
Job Location - McLean, VA 22102
Hire-Type: Contract
Must Have Qualifications: 7+ with preference of 10+ years of software development with at least 5 years of Cloud domain expertise in AWS, Microservices, Cloud integration, and access management. Candidate must have hands on experience with rest API in Java or Python
 
Requirements Experience
o             10+ years in software development focused on cloud technologies and distributed systems
o             5+ years with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) in enterprise environments
o             3+ years with full SDLC for cloud/hybrid applications: requirements, design, implementation, integration, testing, and deployment automation
o             3+ years with cloud infrastructure: Kubernetes/Docker, cloud databases, application servers, networking (VPC, load balancers, API gateways), Linux, and security/data flows
o             3+ years designing and implementing cloud solutions with integrated security and IAM
o             Experience with IAM architecture: OAuth, SSO, SAML federation, and MFA integration in cloud applications
 
Technical Skills:
o             Amazon Web Services: EC2, EKS, ECS, KMS, S3, IAM, RDS, etc.
o             Container Orchestration: Kubernetes
o             Service Mesh: Istio
o             Package Management: Helm, pip
o             IaC: Terraform, Cloud Formation
o             DevOps Tools: Jenkins, Git, Artifactory
o             Design Patterns: Formal design patterns and industry best-practices
o             Java Stack: Spring / Spring Boot, JPA / Hibernate, Postgres, REST / RPC calls over HTTP
o             Scripting Languages: Groovy / Perl / Python / Ruby
 
Soft Skills
o             Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o             Self-motivated, driven, and creative individual
 
Differentiators
o             WebAuthn: Experience is a nice to have
