Software Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Kennesaw, GA. This is a 9 month contract opportunity.

This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements, and that solutions are well-designed with maintainability and ease of integration built-in from the outset.

Responsibilities:

• Code solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
• Design, develop, and modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
• Mentor other software engineers and coach the team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) practices and automating tool stack
• Execute story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimate work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
• Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
• Automate manual release activities
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
• Deliver complex features and technology, enabling development efficiencies
• Provide technical thought leadership based on conducting multiple software implementations
• Accountable for end-to-end solution design and delivery

Requirements:

• 5 years of solid experience as a Software Engineer
• Experience in multiple backend languages (Python, Ansible, Java, C#, and Bash scripting)
• Deep understanding of data structures and object-oriented programming principles
• Experience with relational databases like Oracle or MySQL
• Knowledge of application development methodologies and infrastructure
• Proficiency in executing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and delivering automated software testing
• Working knowledge of JIRA, Remedy, or Service Now

Pay range: $60.24 - $68.24 per hour
