Infrastructure Technology Engineer - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Infrastructure Technology Engineer - Hybrid for a contract position with a Major Financial Institution located in Itasca, IL. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity that requires 4 days per week on-site.

This role focuses on the design, implementation, and support of infrastructure technology solutions within a data center environment. The ideal candidate will leverage technical knowledge to build and maintain systems, with direct experience in physical data center operations including hardware management, cabling, and support.

Responsibilities:

• Apply solution design and support to meet customer needs
• Design, build and maintain infrastructure technology solutions using technical knowledge and industry experience
• Develop software components and hardware for projects, aligning them with business strategies
• Independently solve common problems and update applications with new technology
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, developers and other staff to meet project objectives
• Analyze the technological needs of customers and provide ongoing support

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of relevant experience
• Direct experience with physical data center operations (rack-and-stack, structured copper and fiber cabling, hardware break-fix, and asset management)
• Solid understanding of power, cooling, and physical security controls
• Experience with standard tooling such as ServiceNow, Jira, CMDB, and DCIM systems

Desired skills:

• Administrative experience
• Knowledge of risk assessments and enterprise architecture frameworks

Pay range: $39.00 - $44.00 per hour
