The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely. • Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis accurately within the intermodal yard. • Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and readiness. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics operations. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all established protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
