Job Title: Senior Data Engineer
Location: Rockville, MD / Dallas, TX / St. Louis, MO / Atlanta, GA / Chicago, IL (Hybrid -3 Days/Week)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our growing Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience building scalable data pipelines, designing modern cloud-based data solutions, and working with enterprise data platforms. This role requires expertise in Python, Snowflake, ETL technologies, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Factory, along with experience supporting business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for enterprise data integration.
  • Build and optimize data solutions using Python, PySpark, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Snowflake.
  • Develop robust data transformation workflows and automate data processing pipelines.
  • Integrate data from multiple cloud and on-premises sources while ensuring data quality and reliability.
  • Develop and support reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver end-to-end data solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on data engineering best practices.
  • Evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve engineering efficiency.
  • Support AI/ML data initiatives by preparing and managing data pipelines for analytics and machine learning workloads.
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python and PySpark for data processing and engineering.
  • Experience using Python packages, notebooks, and build/deployment processes.
  • Hands-on expertise with Azure Databricks (preferred) or other enterprise ETL platforms.
  • Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or equivalent ETL tools.
  • Solid database experience with Snowflake (mandatory) and other relational or cloud databases.
  • Experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI/reporting tools.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Azure cloud services and cloud-native data architectures.
  • Exposure to AI/ML platforms and data engineering workflows supporting machine learning initiatives.
  • Experience working with cloud storage, cloud-based data sources, and enterprise integrations.
  • Leadership experience, including mentoring team members and driving technical initiatives.
  • Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile methodologies is a plus.
