About theBusiness Intelligence UnitThe Data Services team is part of the Business Intelligence Unit (BIU) and supports the operational areas of Austin Health with detailed dashboards and analytics. In the medium term, the team is engaged in a large data warehouse project, which involves redesigning and redeveloping reports,validatingnew data tables, and conducting UAT testing as part of the rebuild process to ensure effective integration and functionality. Long-term goals focus on advancing data capabilities, with a keen interest in moving towards advanced analytics and statistical analysis projects.
A regular day will see you:- Migrate existing database objects into Fabric.
- Collaborate with data scientists to embed machine learning models and predictions into production data pipelines
- Develop new data pipelines to meet evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and business rules, translating these into data warehouse solutions.
- Mentor and guide other team members in the completion of their work and supporting skill development within the team
- Address data warehouse load issues, providingtimelyandaccurateinformation as needed.
Youarepassionate aboutleveragingbusiness intelligence tools to drive improvements in patient care. You are skilled in understanding and addressing stakeholder needs, translating business requirements into effective data solutions. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail ensure that you consistently deliver high-quality,accurate, and actionable insights. You excel in using Azure data, sourcecontroland release tools. You thrive on finding solutions to complex problems.
To be successful in this roleyou'llbring with you:- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills with good attention to detail
- Advanced SQL programming skills withdemonstratedexpertisein designing andoptimizingcomplex queries.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and working in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Strong knowledge of data modelling, designing efficient data structures, and data feeds in Azure.
- Strong knowledge with using Azure tools and concepts
- Knowledge and experience with designing andmaintainingCI/CD pipelines and Git workflows
- Experience in working with large complex data sets
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Excellent organizational, time management, written and verbal skills
- Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience inan appropriate InformationTechnology,Healthor Business field
- Experience in health sector reporting
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Data Factory
