Job Description

Role: Maintenance Engineer

Shift: Monday to Friday Double Days (early finish 1 in 2 Fridays)

Salary: £43,000 upon completion of probation + Bonuses (OTE=46k)

Location: Newmarket

Our client is a leading UK manufacturer, with multiple sites committed to ensuring streamlined packaging services for major UK clients across multiple sectors. They have committed to investing millions into the site and new machinery for you to get working on straight away. They are looking for another motivated Maintenance Engineer to get started and unlock future development.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Fault finding on mechanical components such as bearings, gearboxes, hydraulics, sprockets, shafts, rollers etc.
  • Electrically working on VFDs, relays, inverters, contactors, three phase motors and schematics
  • Repairing different conveyors, printing machines, die cutters, vacuum pumps, benders etc.
  • Promote and encourage a culture of Continuous Improvement
  • Confidently being able to perform reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

About You

The ideal Maintenance Engineer will have the following:

  • Recognised industrial engineering experience
  • Confidence working with hands on tools
  • Ability to work as part of a team or individually
  • A sound understanding of key mechanical components
