W2 - 15+ Google Cloud Platform Architect (Home Lending and Mortgage domain experience)

The Role:

Google Cloud Platform Data Architect / Solutions Architect (Banking/ Financial Domain with Google Cloud Platform) to join our team in Charlotte, NC (Need Onsite day 1, hybrid 3 days from office).

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect / Solutions Architect with strong expertise in designing enterprise-scale data and technology solutions within the Banking and Mortgage domain. The ideal candidate will lead architecture initiatives, define data strategies, and deliver scalable solutions that support business objectives.

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement enterprise data architecture and solution architecture for banking and mortgage applications.
• Define data models, data governance standards, data integration frameworks, and architecture roadmaps.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Lead data modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Establish best practices for data quality, metadata management, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Support risk, finance, and reporting initiatives, including regulatory reporting requirements.
• Review current systems and recommend improvements to optimize performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Provide architectural guidance to development, data engineering, and analytics teams.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and banking regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of Data, Integration, or Solution Architecture experience.
• 7+ years architecting large-scale enterprise data platforms.
• Experience leading cloud modernization programs.
• Experience within large Banking or Financial Services organizations.
• Experience/ Knowledge supporting FR Y-14M reporting environments.
• Strong Home Lending and Mortgage domain experience.
