Network Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled Network Specialist / Engineer to support, optimize, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure for a long-term project in Raleigh, NC.

• Work Arrangement: Hybrid
• Role Type: Long-Term Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Network Administration: Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and TCP/IP networking environments.
• Infrastructure Support: Support virtual machines, server/network infrastructure, and communication equipment.
• Performance & Security: Monitor network health, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and execute capacity planning and fault management.
• Disaster Recovery: Handle backup, archiving, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure maximum uptime.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Public Sector Experience: Must have experience working within Government/Public Sector environments.
• Networking Expertise: Strong background in enterprise LAN/WAN technologies, routing, switching, and TCP/IP protocols.
• Infrastructure & VM: Proven experience supporting virtualized environments and server/network infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting & DR: Hands-on experience with network monitoring, fault management, and disaster recovery protocols.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with large-scale enterprise infrastructure modernization.
• Basic familiarity with database administration concepts.
• Strong understanding of network security best practices and compliance.
