Coordinator - Broome Transitional Accommodation Service

About the role

This is an exciting leadership opportunity to coordinate the daily operations of a Transitional Accommodation Service based in Broome. You will lead and support a multidisciplinary team delivering trauma informed, culturally safe and person centred support to women and children experiencing family and domestic violence and homelessness.

The role is responsible for overseeing service delivery, intake and triage processes, incident management, stakeholder engagement and operational performance. You will provide leadership, coaching and guidance to employees while fostering a positive and values driven team culture focused on safety, wellbeing and positive outcomes for women and children.

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will help shape and establish a new service while ensuring high quality support, continuous improvement and strong community connections.

This is a permanent full time opportunity working 76 hours per fortnight in Broome.

About you

You're an experienced and compassionate leader who thrives in dynamic community service environments and is passionate about supporting vulnerable people and communities. You bring a calm and solutions focused approach to complex situations, along with the ability to empower and develop teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.

In addition, you will also possess:

  • Bachelor qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Human Services or related discipline preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within community services, housing, FDV or related sectors
  • Strong understanding of trauma informed and culturally safe practice
  • Experience leading teams, managing service delivery and supporting staff capability development
  • Highly developed communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and operational demands
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and client management system experience
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Working with Children Check
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
