VARITE is looking for a qualified Database Administrator for one of its clients located in Scarborough, ON

Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator
Duration: 12 months
Location: Scarborough, ON
Work Mode: Hybrid 2 days in office
Pay Rate Range: $46.42 - $47.79/hr
 
HERE''S WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Experienced Oracle DBA to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of mission-critical Oracle databases, along with an AWS-focused DBA to manage and optimize Amazon RDS (Oracle/PostgreSQL/MSSQL) and Amazon Redshift clusters, with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK.
 
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO WIN:
Technical Skills:
Must Have:
  • 4–7+ years as a Oracle DBA with 3+ years on AWS database services. Must be strong in Oracle DBA.
  • Hands-on with Amazon RDS (Oracle/PostgreSQL/MSSQL) and Amazon Redshift administration.
  • Expertise in monitoring (CloudWatch, Performance Insights) and performance tuning at an enterprise level
  • At least one certification in Oracle (OCP) and one in AWS.
  • Proficiency with AWS CDK (TypeScript or Python), and CI/CD pipelines.
