Full Stack Engineer React / Node.js
Location: Remote Canada
Work Hours: Must be able to support PST hours
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in React, Node.js, and JavaScript to build and enhance enterprise-scale web applications supporting digital commerce initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have excellent coding fundamentals, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to independently engage with business stakeholders and translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using React and Node.js.
  • Develop responsive and high-performance frontend components using React.
  • Design and develop robust backend APIs and services using Node.js.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and well-tested code.
  • Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Follow software engineering best practices, version control standards, and Agile methodologies.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of Full Stack development experience.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in React.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Node.js.
  • Excellent JavaScript fundamentals.
  • Strong coding and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience developing scalable frontend and backend applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to independently lead technical discussions with business stakeholders.
  • Ability to support PST business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Python experience.
  • eCommerce or retail platform experience.
  • Payment systems integration experience.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
