Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, REST/SOAP services, and SQL/PLSQL and a proven ability to design, build, and deliver scalable, high-volume enterprise applications across the SDLC.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, test, support, maintain, and debug software applications for business and support functions.


• Serve as a senior technical member assisting senior business leaders and management.


• Provide strategic technical direction and systems architecture for initiatives.


• Recommend technological innovations that align with business system requirements.


• Lead estimation of effort and guide one or more programmers.


• Coordinate with external programming teams to deliver on time and within budget.


• Provide feedback and technical guidance to project managers on issues critical to business objectives.


• Create prototypes to validate designs.


• Prepare UML diagrams to document current and future state architectures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Core Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, RESTful services, and SOAP web services.


• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns (Creational, Behavioral, JEE).


• Experience with SQL, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and NoSQL Cassandra.


• Experience with Apache Kafka for data publishing and consumption.


• Hands-on with JUnit, performance testing, optimization, and code analysis.


• Tooling: Eclipse/IntelliJ, Maven, Git, Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines, Splunk, SOAP UI.


• Experience building high-volume, scalable, highly available, distributed systems.


• Ability to manage cross-functional issues with distributed teams across regions.


• Experience with Agile, SDLC, and test-driven development.


• 10+ years of hands-on experience delivering mission-critical enterprise applications with Java/J2EE.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with AI-enabled development tools for code development, analysis, productivity, or engineering workflows.


• Familiarity with microservices patterns and cloud deployment practices.

Additional Details

• Hybrid schedule. Minimum 3 days per week onsite.


• Approved location: Seattle, WA. Start month: September or October.


• Interview process: Two rounds. First round video, second round in-person if local.


• Glider assessment: App Prog IV & V (Java, Spring, REST API/SOAP/Spring Boot). Attach Glider score and skillset summary with the resume.
