The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) for the safe and efficient movement of shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks. • Position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard using hostlers. • Perform pre and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics tasks. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is required. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays, with open availability. • Strong commitment to safety and excellent attention to detail. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Previous experience with heavy equipment operation in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
