Job Description
We're partnering with a global enterprise organization undergoing a major transformation of its Energy Trading & Risk Management landscape and are looking for an experienced Endur Architect to join a high-impact initiative in Houston, TX. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity focused on designing and implementing a next-generation ETRM platform on Microsoft Azure. The environment is highly strategic, enterprise-scale, and centered around OpenLink Endur v14+, cloud architecture, and commodities trading technology.
This is the kind of role where you won't just maintain systems-you'll influence the future-state architecture of a global trading platform. The team is looking for someone who can lead architectural conversations, challenge legacy approaches, and help modernize trading technology at scale. If you enjoy owning technical direction, collaborating directly with business and engineering leadership, and working on complex trading ecosystems from deal capture through settlement, this opportunity offers strong visibility, long-term growth potential, and the chance to shape enterprise-level transformation initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience in Trading IT environments
10+ years of hands-on experience with OpenLink Endur v14+
Strong background in ETRM architecture and commodities trading systems
Experience designing enterprise-scale applications in Azure cloud environments
Deep understanding of the end-to-end trading lifecycle from trade inception through settlement
Expertise in solution architecture, systems integration, and technical design governance
Experience with TOGAF or comparable enterprise architecture frameworks
Strong stakeholder communication and leadership skills
Ability to lead architecture discussions across multiple teams and portfolios
Experience supporting Architecture Review Boards and enterprise standards initiatives
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience within power, gas, or energy trading organizations
OpenJVS, AVS, or Endur development/configuration experience
Experience modernizing legacy trading platforms
Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and API-driven architectures
Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native technologies
Strong understanding of risk management, settlements, and trading operations
Experience mentoring technical teams and guiding enterprise architecture strategy
