Role Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Stibo STEP Subject Matter Expert to lead domain modeling, match/merge configuration, survivorship rule design, and stewardship workflow setup for the initial rollout of our enterprise Master Data Management platform. The SME is responsible for translating insurance business rules, including but not limited to Account, Entity Management, Producer, Broker, and Product Hierarchy domains, into a working Stibo STEP configuration and enabling a Snowflake-based downstream integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead object, attribute, and classification model design for domains in Stibo STEP.
- Configure deterministic and probabilistic match/merge rules and define confidence thresholds per domain.
- Design survivorship and golden-record assembly logic (source priority, recency, completeness).
- Build STEP business rules for validation, standardization, and enrichment.
- Design stewardship workflows and Workbench task queues for match review and exception handling.
- Configure reference data hierarchies, LOB, coverage/peril codes, jurisdiction, carrier legal entity, and ACORD-aligned code sets.
- Define the outbound publish/syndication contract, golden records, and xref keys for downstream Snowflake consumption.
- Partner with the Developer to validate the Stibo-to-Snowflake integration design and troubleshoot configuration-level issues during pipeline build.
- Support unit testing, cross-functional testing, and UAT cycles as the configuration authority.
- Produce configuration documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials suitable for steward and admin handoff.
Primary Skills
- 10+ years of overall experience in Master Data Management (MDM), Product Information Management (PIM), or related data governance disciplines.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on configuration experience with Stibo STEP object modeling, match/merge, workflow, and business rules.
- Working knowledge of Snowflake, including validating mastered records and xref keys in a Snowflake-based analytical platform.
- Demonstrated experience designing match/merge and survivorship rules for party/account-type master data.
- Strong understanding of MDM governance, golden records, stewardship workflows, data lineage, and source-system reconciliation.
- Excellent written documentation skills (configuration specs, rule definitions, and runbooks).
- Strong English communication skills for collaboration with onshore Developers, QA, and business stakeholders.
Secondary Skills
- P&C Insurance domain experience with Account, Producer, Broker, and Product/Coverage Hierarchy concepts.
- Experience with insurance regulatory frameworks such as NAIC, BCBS 239, and statutory reporting.
- Exposure to Snowflake Medallion Architecture, Abstract Data Vault, Data Store, or similar layered data platforms.
- Stibo STEP Certifications.
- Prior experience training or mentoring internal stewards on Stibo Workbench.
