Network Security Analyst

Location: Newport Beach, CA

Onsite: 4-5 days per week

Rate: $60-65/ hour

The role involves monitoring, investigating, and protecting network security infrastructure, with a focus on analysis, optimization, and enhancement of security measures.

Key responsibilities include data analysis across security platforms, policy reviews, Splunk dashboard development, incident investigation support, and process automation.

The ideal candidate should have:

5+ years of relevant experience, hands-on expertise with Splunk and security tools, strong analytical and communication skills, and relevant certifications are preferred.

Deep understanding of Palo Alto firewalls, Zscaler, and Imperva

Strong understanding of network protocols, traffic analysis, and attack techniques

Experience with tools like, FireMon, Backbox, RSA, SolarWinds, Wireshark, and ServiceNow

Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework and applying it to detection coverage and threat hunting
