Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced D365 Finance Functional Lead Consultant with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading functional activities, gathering business requirements, configuring solutions, performing gap-fit analysis, and delivering successful D365 implementations.

The consultant will work closely with clients, onsite engagement teams, and technical teams to understand business needs and deliver effective D365 F&O solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the D365 Finance functional workstream throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from clients and stakeholders.
• Perform detailed functional analysis and gap-fit analysis based on business requirements.
• Prepare Business Process Documents, Functional Specifications, and other project documentation.
• Manage customer requirements, Change Requests (CRs), and functional enhancements.
• Configure D365 F&O solutions based on approved business requirements.
• Work closely with technical teams to coordinate development, integrations, and customizations.
• Lead and support end-to-end D365 F&O implementation projects, including design, configuration, testing, training, cutover, and reporting.
• Support functional and system testing, including test planning, execution, and defect resolution.
• Work with clients to define expectations, finalize deliverables, and ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide guidance on D365 Finance processes and related areas such as Sales, Procurement, and Inventory.
• Utilize Lifecycle Services (LCS) and work with relevant ISV solutions.
• Identify process improvements and recommend best-practice D365 solutions.
• Lead and mentor junior functional consultants and coordinate team activities.
• Manage priorities, timelines, and deliverables while working in a client-facing consulting environment.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365, preferably with strong D365 Finance experience.
• Proven experience delivering at least 5 successful D365 implementations.
• Strong functional knowledge of D365 Finance & Operations.
• Experience with requirements gathering, functional analysis, configuration, and gap-fit analysis.
• Hands-on experience with LCS and ISV solutions.
• Experience working in a professional services or consulting environment.
• Strong understanding of ERP implementation methodologies.
• Experience with functional/system testing, training, cutover, and reporting.
• Strong project delivery and coordination skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong client-facing and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong team leadership and people-management skills.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and demanding client requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree or equivalent education.
• Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 certifications preferred.
• Experience leading large-scale D365 F&O implementations.
• Strong knowledge of Finance, Sales, Procurement, and Inventory processes.
• Previous experience mentoring or managing functional consulting teams.

The ideal candidate is a senior D365 Finance functional lead who can independently interact with clients, translate business requirements into D365 solutions, lead functional teams, and successfully drive implementations from requirements through go-live.
