Working as part of an experienced engineering team, your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment<br />Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults across production machinery and site systems<br />Maintaining pumps, motors, bearings, conveyors, gearboxes, valves, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems<br />Completing inspections, servicing, adjustments, and mechanical improvements<br />Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency<br />Supporting machinery installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects<br />Carrying out mechanical repairs, component replacements, alignment, and lubrication tasks<br />Assisting with root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions<br />Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures<br />Maintaining accurate service records and reporting recurring faultsWe are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving, and improving equipment reliability.

You will ideally have:

A recognised mechanical engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, City &amp; Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)<br />Previous experience within an industrial, manufacturing, or production environment<br />Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills<br />Experience working with pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics<br />The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team<br />A positive attitude with a desire to learn and progressThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that is investing heavily in its site, equipment, and people.
