AI Data Engineer - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking an AI Data Engineer - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ, Charlotte, NC, Minneapolis, MN, Phoenix, AZ or Las Colinas, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

In this role, you will implement and operationalize modern AI-enabled data capabilities on the Google Cloud Platform. You will leverage AI and Agentic frameworks to automate data management, governance, and consumption, including data pipelines, data quality, and metadata. This position involves working within a matrix organization with principal engineers, product managers, and other data engineers to plan and deliver key data capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and operationalize modern AI-enabled data capabilities on Google Cloud to ingest, transform, and distribute data for a variety of big data applications
• Leverage AI/Agentic frameworks to automate data management, governance, and data consumption capabilities
• Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering
• Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet deliverables
• Work with principal engineers, product managers, and data engineers to roadmap, plan, and deliver key data capabilities based on priority

Requirements:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering including hands-on experience with Cloud data solutions creating and supporting Spark-based ingestion and processing
• 5+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
• 3+ years of experience with Data Lakehouse architecture and design, including hands-on experience with Python, pySpark, Kafka, and Airflow
• Demonstrable recent skills using AI tools such as LangChain, LangGraph/ADK, agentic frameworks, RAG, and GraphRAG
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Data Proc, and Cloud Composer
• Hands-on experience developing data flows using Kafka, Flink, and Spark streaming
• Experience with AI for approximately 6-12 months

Pay range: $43.59 - $51.59 per hour
